Let the 2003 KOA Kampground of the Year be your host as you learn about one of the nation's most important Civil War battlefields. A nightly movie provides an overview of the town and battle. Bus tours depart from this KOA daily (in season) for the Gettysburg Battlefield or Washington, D.C. Explore on your own with a tape or CD, visiting such hallowed sites as Little Round Top, Devil's Den and Pickett's Charge. After a day of touring, relax at this quiet, naturally wooded campground. AAA approved camping in a country setting. 7 cabins, 160 campsites, and 20 room motel with country store, playground, basketball/tennis court, nightly children's movie and more. Family Reunions and groups are welcome and have use of the pavillion.
Cabins are a 1-room rustic style with electricity, light, ceiling fan and outlet. There is a double bed and set of bunks (3 separate beds) for a family of four. Outside is a porch with glider, picnic table, fire ring and water spigot. The cabins overlook a half acre pond where you may feed the carp and Japanese Coi.
Adjacent to the campground is our motel - Conewago Valley Motor Inn, with 20 rooms. Motel guests enjoy the same amenities and facilities as our camping guests. Rooms include A/C, heat, cable TV, phone, daily house cleaning service, 1 or 2 beds and bathroom. |

Minimum Rental Requirements:
Reservations are recommended for our 1-room rustic style cabins. Stays of 1 - 3 nights require a 1 night deposit; stays of 4 nights or longer require a 3 night deposit. We offer two styles of primitive cabins, either with or without a loft. All cabins consist of a set of bunk beds and a full size bed. Loft cabins have an additional full size bed in loft (linens are not provided). Each cabin has an electric light, outlet, air conditioning, set of chairs, porch light, picnic table and fire ring. Water and bath house are nearby. No smoking, no pets, and no cooking is permitted inside cabins. Electric heaters are available to rent. |
